Well, I've got the Arturia _Emulator II V. At least according to their website it is name _Emulator II V. Nice to see that there are sound from all the Emulators in this one, but anyhow. Doesn't matter for the tutorial how to make an 80s pop anthem. Thank you for making this video. Never thought of making a tune with just the Emulator. Or the Fairlight.

The customer did a very wise and correct thing, by ordering the original instrumental, nothing can surpass them. Well done. I have heard only one cover in my life, that surpassed the original sound of the composition. This is Wolfgang Gartner's remake, of the original song by Tiësto - "I Will Be Here". Maestro Kraft, I wanted to ask you: how do you insert into your songs and rebuilds, the sound and individual effects, of instruments that you do not have? For example, in this video here, I see and hear that you used a Linndrum machine and, I think, an Arp synthesizer. It seems that you do not have them, in physical form. Are these VST plugins? They sound very high quality.

Oh man, you bring me way back to that '83 summer here in Italy. A MASSIVE smash hit, this was everywhere - you opened your fridge and out the song came ;) You nailed it, very very faithful. The La Bionda brothers' production back then was incredible. Cheers! Extra points for the Speccy t-shirt ;)

Nice disection .. I'ts really a very simple arrangements once you get the right sounds. First I was like .. that bass is no way near right, and when you added that standard Roland E bass it was spot on .. lol that surpriced me. I am not an expert .. but isn't this Spanish .. people talk italy pop .. ? (I know Esbens version is greek 😉)

Great Job! BTW: That "blown" sound after the "jamaican"/Synth steel drum one seems to be out of the Fairlight Library, you can hear the same sound on the Buggles' second Album "adventures in modern recording", where it gets used several times, e.g. in "vermillion Sands". Greets, Dietmar

Man, they really don't make anything that sounds like this stuff anymore, do they? I have an SQ-80 that I got for $100 (it was very grungy in a garage, so I had to do a lot of cleanup), that I've only recently really learned to adore. I better grab a couple of these other Ensoniq's before these become the big desired, overpriced vintage synths going forward.

Haha, have not watched this video yet but cannot wait! I loved everything Italo-Disco from 1983-1986. Miko Mission, Scotch, all the usual suspects, as well as 'under the radar' masterpieces like 'Carillon' by Parsifal. The video to Vamos a la Playa was super-weird, if I remember correctly. Wrist phones?

Fun fact, my 5 years old comment is still on Basileus' video of this song. I had no idea you made it 😄 Vamos a la Playa was a super hit here in Greece at that time. I remember listening to it when I was 12 years old, at my uncle's summer bar (which was right next to our home).
